Germany welcomes qualified foreign pharmacists to help meet demand across community pharmacies, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Non-EU pharmacists must complete the official degree recognition process (Approbation) in order to work independently in Germany. Depending on recognition status, applicants may apply for a Temporary License Visa (Berufsausübungserlaubnis) or, after full recognition, for a Work Visa—subject to approval by the German authorities. Germany offers strong career prospects, competitive remuneration, and pathways toward long-term residence.
