The Schengen Short-Stay Visa (Type C) allows eligible travelers to visit countries within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for purposes such as tourism, business meetings, family visits, or short-term events.
The Schengen Area currently includes 26 European countries that have abolished internal border controls between them. A visa issued by one Schengen country generally permits travel throughout the entire Schengen Area, subject to the conditions and validity stated on the visa. A Schengen visa does not grant the right to work or reside long-term in the Schengen Area.
